Scope of this policy

This policy covers the MICHITAI CHEATS website at cheats.michitai.com and the Dawn of Man save editor offered here. It does not describe every service on michitai.com or the practices of game publishers, external websites, or software installers.

The website delivers server-rendered pages and downloadable tools. The Windows save editor is a separate Python application with a Tkinter interface that runs on your computer.

Website visits and technical information

The website does not implement accounts, submission forms, payments, analytics, advertising, cookies, or localStorage. You do not need to create a profile or submit a save file to download a tool.

Visiting a page or downloading a file still sends a request to the hosting infrastructure. That infrastructure can receive and log technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, request time, response status, and browser user-agent. Depending on your browser and the link followed, a request may also include a referring page address. These details can constitute personal information.

Technical information is involved in delivering requests and may be used by the hosting infrastructure for security, fault diagnosis, and service operation. The absence of application analytics is not a promise of anonymous browsing or an absence of server logs.

Local save files and backups

The editor looks for local Dawn of Man save folders, including possible OneDrive locations, and lets you choose a folder. It checks candidate save files to build its list, reads the save you select, and writes changes to that file when you use the save action. File paths and save contents are processed locally; the editor does not upload saves and has no built-in telemetry.

Before writing a save, the editor creates a .bak copy if one does not already exist at that path. It does not replace an existing .bak file on every edit. Saves and backups remain on your storage until you or another application move, change, or delete them.

Local processing does not prevent software on your computer from accessing or syncing files. If your save folder is managed by OneDrive, another cloud service, or a backup application, that service may transfer files under its own settings and privacy policy. The editor does not control those services.

Browser links and Python installation

Following website links opens the destination in your browser. The destination receives its own web request and may use cookies, logs, or other technologies under its own privacy policy. This policy does not govern third-party sites.

The Windows run.bat launcher checks for a suitable Python installation. If it cannot find one and winget is available, it attempts to install Python through winget. This can contact package sources and download an installer, with information handled under the applicable third-party policies. The launcher passes options to accept package and source agreements automatically. Review the launcher and those agreements before running it, or install Python yourself first.

The local editor does not upload your saves as part of this installation process. However, a local editor without telemetry should not be confused with a launcher, browser, operating system, or third-party installer that never uses the network.

Access, retention, and infrastructure

Hosting operators may have access to technical request information as part of providing the website. Specific logging settings, retention periods, storage locations, and any international processing depend on the deployed infrastructure; they have not been established in this policy. No fixed deletion period or storage country is promised here.

The website application does not maintain a collection of uploaded saves, account profiles, or payment records. Local saves and .bak files are under your control rather than subject to a website deletion schedule. Consult any cloud or backup provider separately about copies it holds.

No website, local storage device, or transfer method can be guaranteed completely secure. Avoid sending save files or other unnecessary personal information when making an inquiry.

Your privacy choices and rights

You can choose not to visit external links, manage browser settings, and remove downloaded tools or local backups when you no longer need them. Removing a download does not remove server request logs or copies held by your own backup services.

Depending on the law that applies to you and the processing involved, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal information, and to object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, applicable law may allow you to withdraw it. These rights are not absolute and do not mean that every right applies to every technical log.
